Japan’s average cash earnings fell unexpectedly in the last quarter. Japanese Ministry of Health in a report, Labour and Welfare said that Japan’s Average Cash Earnings decreased to a seasonally adjusted -0.1%, from 1.2% in the previous quarter.

Manufacturing production in the U.K. increased less than forecast in August, while industrial production registered a surprise decline. The U.K. Office for National Statistics in a report, said that manufacturing production rose by a seasonally adjusted 0.2 percent. Moreover, the U.K.’s trade balance fell more than forecast last month. National Statistics in a report, said that U.K. trade balance fell to a seasonally adjusted -12.11B, from -9.51B in the previous month. German industrial production rose unexpectedly last month. Destatis in a report, said that German Industrial Production increased to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 2.5 percent from -1.5 percent last month.

Average hourly earnings in the U.S. increased last month. U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics in a report Department of Labor said that average hourly earnings in the U.S. increased to a seasonally adjusted 0.2 percent from 0.1 percent in the previous month. Also, U.S. non-farm payrolls increased less than forecast last month. U.S. Department of Labor said non-farm payrolls increased to a seasonally adjusted 156K, from 167K last month. The rate of unemployment in the U.S. increased more than expected last month. U.S. Department of Labor said the unemployment rate increased to a seasonally adjusted 5.0 percent, from 4.9 percent in the previous month.

Currencies: The dollar turned lower against the other major currencies on Friday. The EURUSD traded higher between $1.1104 and $1.1204 The GBPUSD traded lower between $1.2623 and $1.2035. The USDJPY traded lower between ¥104.03 and ¥102.87

Crude oil: Oil prices fell on Friday, as there are hopes of a cut in OPEC output next month.  On the ICE future Exchange, North Sea Brent crude traded lower between $52.84 and $51.37 On the New York Mercantile Exchange, U.S. light crude oil traded lower between $50.75 and $49.44

Gold: The price of Gold on Friday fell to the lowest level in nearly four months. On the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold traded higher in a range between $1243.00 and $1267.45 an ounce.

Indices: Shares in Asia fell on Friday. Moreover, Japan stocks fell, as losses in the Retail, Construction and Communication sectors led shares lower.  At the close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 decreased 0.23%. At the close in China, the Hang Seng declined 0.42% change.

Germany. stocks fell on Friday, as losses in the Retail, Media and Transportation & Logistics sectors led shares lower.  Respectively, U.K. stocks rose, as gains in the Industrial Metals & Mining, Mining and Oil & Gas Producers sectors led shares higher.  At the close in Frankfurt the DAX tumbled 0.74%. At the close in Paris, the CAC40 decreased 0.67%. At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 tumbled 1.52%. Finally, at the close in London the FTSE100 increased 0.63%.

Wall Street traded lower on Friday.  At the close, the Dow Jones industrial average lower 0.05%. The S&P 500 decreased 0.24% and the NASDAQ composite tumbled 0.20%.
